Spiritual Care Week: Healing Through Presence and Grace. (October 18-24)

Spiritual Care Week provides an opportunity for chaplains and pastoral care counselors, educators and providers to share their story and to celebrate various ministries.

Chaplains and spiritual care providers walk tenderly into the places where others have cracked under the weight of grief, illness, and loss. They do not rush to fix but instead sit in the sacred silence of pain, bearing witness. With compassion, presence, and spiritual wisdom, they help others see that their brokenness is not the end of the story—but the beginning of a new one.

Northwell Health’s Institute for Community Health and Wellness and the Dutchess County Interfaith Council are partnering during Spiritual Care Week to offer the following opportunity:

Faith Forum: Partnerships for Strong and Healthy Communities

Dear Faith Community Leaders,

Northwell Health’s Institute for Community Health and Wellness and the Dutchess County Interfaith Council invite you to join us for an evening of conversation, listening and collaboration as we explore how faith communities and healthcare organizations can work together to build stronger, healthier communities.

During this forum, representatives from the Institute for Community Health and Wellness will share examples of successful partnerships with faith communities across the regions Northwell serves. More importantly, we want to hear from you. This gathering is an opportunity for local faith leaders and community members to help us better understand the needs of Dutchess County and identify meaningful ways we can partner to support the health and well-being of our neighbors.

Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: O'Shea Conference Center, Vassar Brothers Medical Center
